Chris Brink and Jon Micheletto will share their recent experiences renovating historic homes in Marietta. Chris will discuss his home renovation as chronicled on Instagram (@brink_goes_dutch) including removing vinyl siding and flooring, and exposing or replicating historic details concealed or removed over time. Jon will share his experience renovating a historic home severely damaged by fire in 2016, which required the interior of the home to be gutted to the studs and rebuilt. Both presentations will include personal anecdotes and before and after photos.

Our Restoration Nation  SOLD OUT
Presented by Laine & Kevin Berry
June  25, 2022   6:00pm    William Root House

What do you get when you have two creatives with a passion for architecture and old things? Laine and Kevin Berry. They must get bored with their 9 to 5 jobs because they are serial house restorers. They work together on many projects and businesses, but as their 180,000 Instagram followers will tell you, they are at their best when saving an old house. While building or restoring a house is one of the most stressful things a married couple can go through, Laine and Kevin seem to thrive on it. The truth is, they just can’t wait to get their hands on the next beautiful structure and bring it back to life! This candid and humorous presentation will cover the basics of historic preservation.

Tickets are $35 per person. Space is limited. Light refreshments will be served.
Sold out. No walk-up ticket sales.
