Together We Can Make A Difference:

 

• Education: Docents and volunteers receive training to conduct educational programs and informal tours.
• Special Events: Helping with planning, registration, food, decorations, parking and acting as a docent or tour guide during the Christmas Pilgrimage Tour of Homes.
• Root House Museum Store: Volunteers may assist in stocking shelves, pricing, and inventory.
• Acquisitions for Root House: Conducted by the Curator, Volunteers can help in the selecting, caring, cataloging, organizing and inventorying of antiques.
• Cooking in 1850’s: Demonstrate cooking in our antebellum kitchen and on our authentic wood-burning stove. Researching recipes from the 1850’s. Period costumes are provided.
• Administration/Clerical: Assisting the staff with membership, marketing, and coordinating volunteers.
• Property and landscaping: Volunteers helping to maintain the grounds at our properties.
• Power Cabin: Volunteers needed to maintain the Power Cabin property in East Cobb
• Hyde Farm: Cobb Landmarks is in the developmental stage for volunteers at this time.
