The mission of Cobb Landmarks and Historical Society is to proactively preserve and promote the heritage, quality of life and sense of place unique to Cobb County, Georgia. By preserving historically relevant properties in Cobb County, Cobb Landmarks will help ensure that each structure’s story is properly documented and shared for generations to come. Cobb Landmarks offers interactive opportunities for learning, fun, and economic development. Cobb Landmarks seeks to enhance these efforts and make its properties models for heritage education and historic preservation.

 

Among the leading preservation societies in the region, Cobb Landmarks has the expertise and technical resources to actually make preservation happen and to help energize neighborhoods. In addition to working with individual families, Cobb Landmarks assists local government and building owners in preserving the area’s most important historic structures and cultural sites.

 

Rooted in a respect for history, Cobb Landmarks’ work is as much concerned with building the future as with holding on to the past. To best serve its communities, Cobb Landmarks has outlined three key initiatives on which to focus its efforts: education, advocacy and public affairs, and preservation.
