Properties
Cobb Landmarks are the stewards for two historic properties in Cobb County. Although the properties differ in original purpose and in present day use, each provide an opportunity to educate the public about past history and way of life in Cobb County in the 19th century.
The Root House Museum
c. 1845, is an accurate portrayal of middle-class life in Marietta in the 1850s. Headquarters for Cobb Landmarks, it is one of the oldest structures in Marietta and hosts school field trips and visitors year round.

The Power Cabin
c. 1845, is a rehabilitated log cabin located on a hillside above the Chattahoochee River. Donated to Landmarks by the Trust for Public Land, it is one of the county’s few remaining log cabins.
