Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner...
It’s that time of year again for our Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner… events! Plans are under way for this ever-popular program and we have a number of ideas including events at the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art, the Acworth Rosenwald School, a Trolley Tour followed by a wine tasting at the Root House, as well as a specialty-themed dinners at a variety of homes and unique settings.
We are in need of hosts for many of these parties, so please consider hosting an event or host with a friend or several friends. This is a wonderful opportunity to support CLHS while meeting new friends or getting together with old friends. Make plans with your dinner group, book club, bridge club, sports groups, friends and family including children.
The majority of the GWCD events will be held August through October, although we are kicking off this season with a different twist on the 4th of July. Don’t you love watching the fireworks, but hate the hassle of securing your perfect spot? Get some of the best seats for the fireworks show without having to haul your blankets, tables and chairs. Let us do the work for you! Tables of 4 or 6 or 8 will be set up in front of the Root House and within the garden areas for $20 per person. Bring your own picnic basket, beverages and set ups, whatever is your pleasure. And remember, this is a tax deductable donation to benefit CLHS and the Root House.
