Over 75 members of Cobb Landmarks and the Vinings Historic Preservation Society enjoyed a lavish catered meal and shared their enthusiasm for preservation. Guests were entertained and able to learn about Vinings history courtesy of three guest speakers. Josh Langston presented his recently completed DVD, “Crossroads,” which traces the history of Vinings from Indian days through the Civil War. Tony Doyle, author of the book Vinings Revisited: A Review of Older Provenance, entertained guests with stories and facts about his life as a young person in the Vinings area. Pat Ferguson Kinder talked about her life growing up in her father’s general store in downtown Vinings, which is now the Vinings Inn restaurant. Thanks to Extremely Extravagant Events caterers along with The Vinings Inn and Garrison’s Restaurant for providing the food. A special thank you to the Vinings Historic Preservation Society for sharing their facilities and community with Cobb Landmarks!
